Advanced literary translation from French to English; modern poetry; modern theatre.

Other Scholarly Activities

  • Elected to Committee of Translators' Association (of The Society of Authors) in 1999.
  • Chair of Translators' Association's Working Party on Translation & Research from 1999.
  • Invited by the Translation Association, of the Society of Authors, to be one of the three judges for the 2004 Scott Moncrieff Translation Prize, awarded annually to the best (book) translation, in the previous year, from French into English.
